As-of-Right: zoning massing and site research for New York City developers

Restore a purchase

On a new or reset iPhone, open As-of-Right, open any site, and tap Restore purchases at the bottom of the As-of-Right Pro screen. Use the same Apple Account you bought with.

Cancel or change your subscription

Open your iPhone’s Settings › your name › Subscriptions › As-of-Right, or tap Manage subscription at the bottom of the app. Cancel at least 24 hours before your trial or current period ends to avoid the next charge. For a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com.

Where the information comes from

Lot shapes, zoning and owners come from the Department of City Planning’s MapPLUTO; addresses from NYC GeoSearch; deeds, mortgages and liens from ACRIS; permits and violations from the Department of Buildings, ECB and HPD; sales and the tax lien sale list from the Department of Finance, all through NYC Open Data. City data can lag by weeks, so check the original records (the app links to them) before relying on anything.

Something looks wrong

A City service is down: the app says when it couldn’t reach a dataset. Try again in a few minutes.
The massing doesn’t match your architect’s: the model simplifies the Zoning Resolution (see “Rules used” at the bottom of a site). Email us the site and what differs.
No watch alerts: allow notifications for As-of-Right in Settings, and leave Background App Refresh on. iOS decides when background checks run.
